What do you know about vigilante justice, or taking the law into your own hands?

i think that vigilante justice could be good and bad, but depending on the circumstances. it could be good because t could deal with someone for a long time quickly. it could be bad because it could but someone in jail or worse, who didn't do anything at all.
ReplyDeleteIt is a bad way of doing the legal system because it is not legit. It is very common for people to take the justice system into their own hands.
DeleteI agree because evoking justice can lead to bad habits to where you might kill someone by accident.
DeleteI believe that you should never take justice in your own hands because it can always backfire. Taking justice in your own hands could get you into a plethora of trouble and or get you killed depending on the situation. For example if someone broke into your house and robbed you, you find out who it is and go and tried to get your stuff back. If you don't consult the policeman, you could either get killed or get hurt really bad. You should never take justice into your own hands because it will always caused problems.
ReplyDeleteI disagree because the police in palm coast are not very good and you can accomplish more without them. they don't really help you, so it is better to take the law into your own hands.

DeleteI think that the things a vigilante does is wrong. They are doing the wrong things for the right reasons. I agree that what they do is more for revenge move than justice. I believe that you shouldn't try to take it into your own hands. It could get you in trouble. It's just more problems for you.

ReplyDeleteso I don't know. I do believe vigilante justice means to take maters into your own hands by taking revenge or invoke justice where it belongs when no one else would.
If you justice into your own hands you might get hurt or get in trouble. It depends on what the circumstance is though. If it's something huge then you might get in trouble. If you are protecting your family then it's self defense. If someone hit your or laid there hands on you then that is also self defense.

DeleteI disagree because vigilantes can be good for the economy. Batman was a vigilante who stops crime. His first reason was to kill the guy who killed his parents, but that changed, to stop crime in general. Even though batman is a fiction character, he was brave, and always went to stop crime.I believe that all vigilantes can be good when they stop crime.

DeleteI didn't know what Vigilnate Justice was until now. I don't believe you should take the law into your your own hands, there are police officers for a reason. You could even get your revenge on the wrong person. The legal system and police officers will handle the situation. If you try to do something, it will backfire.
ReplyDeleteI agree because not only will you cause yourself trouble, but the people around you could get affected as well. Taking justice into your own hands is always a bad idea. Police are here to help not make things worse. Yes sometimes they don't take care of the problem right away but that still doesn't give people the right to take justice in there own hands

I agree that you should not take the law into your own hands because it is wrong, illegal, and you will most likely regret doing it. It is possible to get revenge on the wrong person if it is dark, etc. The government and cops will handle the situation.

DeleteIn my opinion, you should take justice into your own hands if the police aren't doing their job of protecting the citizens, the legal system works differently with its mysterious, slack ways, while Batman, does an excellent job of supporting my point.
ReplyDeleteI think taking justice into your own hands like a vigilante is wrong. Taking justice into your own hands the way the vigilantes do isn't justice its revenge. When you seek revenge you dig two graves, one for the person you are seeking revenge on, and the other grave for you. When vigilantes take "justice" into there own hands they are also setting themselves up for failure/trouble. That is my opinion on taking justice into your own hands
ReplyDeletei agree and disagree. i agree that at some circumstances you should be able to take law in your own hands. for example if someone walks up to you and hits you you should be aloud to hit back. but i disagree because it can sometimes just make it worse. For example if someone stole something from u and you shoot them it will just make it worse.
ReplyDeleteWhat I know about taking law into my own hands is that is something bad happening and no ones around I should take care of it myself. I think vigilante justice is wrong because if you punish a suspected criminal and they did nothing wrong your just trying to get revenge on them. Vigilante is wrong because if you kill someone and they sis nothing wrong you should go to jail. In some cases you should take matters in your own hands and others you shouldn't. If someone breaks into your house and your there by yourself you should take matters in your own hands

Deletei think that it is ok that there is a vigilante because somtimes "the law" doesnt do anything and you dont know know what the cops are going to say they go by evedence and if they cant find it they dont do anything about it end up looking stupid but if u had a vigilante you wouldnt have to sit back and let them do what they want. I think that whate ever happens it must be for a good reason anyways so fair is fair if you do somthing worng it comes with a consequence but that doesnt mean he should be hurting people for no reason thoe

ReplyDeleteTaking the law into your own hands is never a good thing. The legal system exist because they need an appropriate way to deal with criminals. The vigilantes catch and punish suspected criminals, without the approval of the legal system. What if they have the wrong person? When vigilantes take law into their own hands the outcome has a 50% chance of a bad outcome.

DeleteVigilante justice is wrong. I know they catch criminal but, the things they do are not legal. Vigilante justice is not self defense it's all about revenge and its not apart of the legal system.If you catch a criminal your suppose to turn them in which is the legal thing to do not get revenge and punished them like they committed a crime against you.Vigilante justice is not justice it's abuse and it's illegal.
ReplyDeleteI agree that vigilante is more about revenge than self- defense, but it probably shouldn't be because you should not take the law into your own hands. That is their job to do. Yes, everyone would want to get revenge if something like that happened, but it's not the best thing to do. Protecting yourself is one thing, but getting revenge by doing something that is illegal is another. All you will probably do is cause yourself trouble and most likely regret whatever action you take.

ReplyDeleteVigilantes can be a good thing to have but some times they can make the decision. They can get them self hurt or some one eles. They can be good for little problems, but if it some thing big like a robber in a store. They could have a gun, knife, or chalaform. So they need to be care flu on what they do.

ReplyDeleteI feel that it doesn't matter if your a vigilantly mostly because on pulse you take justice into your own hands. Though if you wait for the cops then the object (depending on the situation) it could result into a loss of an object or even a loved one. Though its more logical to let the cops handle it sometimes they take justice into their own hands and even at times they are still put in prison. Though personally depending on the situation i think that its fine for justice to be taken into your own hands.
ReplyDeletei don't really know a whole lot about vigilantes but if someone harms my family or a close friend its going down. i will hunt them down if its the last thing i do, but they will pay for it. however if someone stole something from me like my phone or my car i would just get the police involved because what are you gonna do? you can't put them in jail. you don't have the authority to do that so get the police involved and then they will deserve what they get.
ReplyDeleteVigilantes are helpful but some times they can get in the way of the cops. They should let the cops just do there job and figure out the crime by them selves. If vigilantes do get invoked then they can take action in to there now hands. But if they are just a by stander then they should not get involde in the situation.

DeleteVigilantes are helpful but some times they can get in the way of real justice. They should let cops do there jobs there is no need for them to get in the way. They can help if they want but it would be easier on the cops to do what they do because if they have a partner then they also have to worry about them to. The last thing they would probably want is for someone to get hurt don there job.
ReplyDeletevigilantes are helpful by making some of the cops jobs easier like if they are tied up some where else or if they are on the way but are taking to long they can help. But they can get in the way sometimes. But they can takes justices in their own hands which can cause more trouble. like if they get into a fight with some buddy else.
